28th ANNUAL FATHER’S DAY & QUALITY PRODUCTS AWARDS SET ON JUNE 15

The country’s pioneer & biggest Father’s Day event is set on June 15 (Sunday) during the 28th Annual Joint Handog Kay Itay & Consumers Quality Awards (CQA) at the Gateway Mall Mandarin Suites  (4th Level, Gateway Mall Araneta Center, Cubao, Quezon City) at 3 pm.

Nominations for the Outstanding Fathers who were able to bring up ideal families are still open until May 27.  Online Nomination for Outstanding Quality Products  and Outstanding Fathers are accepted at  www.consumersaward.com or www.family-events.net.    Vice President Noli “Kabayan” de Castro was invited as Keynote Speaker & Awards Presentor together with Senate President Manuel B. Villar.

Now on its 28th year, this year’s Handog Kay Itay  featuring the  2008 Outstanding Fathers (Huwarang Ama) Awardees, Celebrity Fathers and the 2008 Quality Products Awards with the special participation of  top guest entertainers.    The event will usher with the Father’s Day Invocation and Floral Offering to St. Lorenzo Ruiz.

“Handog Kay Itay” is the country’s pioneer and most prestigious Father’s Day event since 1980 organized by the National Mother’s Day & Father’s Day Council headed by civic leader Jonathan Navea who was responsible for lobbying Presidential Proclamation No. 266 issued by former President Corazon C. Aquino declaring Mother’s Day and Father’s Day as national events in the Philippines.  Co-sponsor is the Ideal Parents & Family Foundation (IPFF) jointly with the National Consumer Affairs Foundation.    The event is the counterpart of the successful Handog Kay Inay Mother’s Day Show & Awards last May 11.    MediaPower Services is the  Production and Event Manager.
